Alright! It's also animated. The way movies based on video games should be.

What's happening gamers? Sooner or later I had to realize this was gonna come. Remember when a Halo live action movie was announced in 2005? Well, it seems that Neill Blomkamp (District 9) is still interested in making a Halo live action film. Halo, Xbox's flagship title, has long been rumored to be receiving a live-action film adaptation. Guillermo del Toro, Peter Jackson and Neill Blomkamp have all tried in the past, but each has failed to make it work for various reasons. As you all know I am totally against a lot of video games being adapted into live action movies, because since Super Mario Bros (1993), Hollywood has had a knack of adapting video games and the majority of them sucked such as: Double Dragon, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, Silent Hill: Revelation, Wing Commander, Doom, Farcry, Bloodrayne, House of the Dead, Postal, Dungeon Siege, Hitman and many more. First we get a live action prequel to Halo 4 known as Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, which turned out to be better than the crappy anime Halo: Legends, and now it seems that Neill Blomkamp is not giving up on making a live action Halo movie. Well, if this rumor turns out to be true, this ain't the first time that Blomkamp attempted to bring the UNSC and Master Chief to life in the big screen. When the movie was first announced back in 2005, Alex Garland wrote the script, Peter Jackson was set to be executive producer while Spielberg and Blomkamp were in talks to film it, but then in 2007 the film was killed. But now, this turns out to be something that is not to be surprised about. If they do this film, then they better do it right, because the majority of live action video game adaptations totally suck. Like I said before, since Super Mario Bros, Hollywood has been butchering a lot of games by making live adaptations of them. So what do you guys think? Do you want to see this come to life? Are you pleased? Let me know. Comment, go for it. God Bless and Play Hard Gamers! RoboCop! Who is he? What is he? Where does he come from? Well gamers and movie fans, today's talk is about my thoughts on the upcoming movie RoboCop remake. Well, here's the thing. So far the movie actually looks kind of interesting and there seems to be a lot of cool things about it. But even if it looks interesting, there is one thing that bothers me a lot, and I mean A LOT. This movie is PG-13, when I heard this I said "What the f... is this PG-13 crap?" Since it's PG-13, that means it COULD be lame and not as awesome as the original. The first two movies were R-rated and the violent scenes were so brutal and gut-wrenching that you did not want to sleep at night, especially that surgical scene in part 2. But the third movie, well, it was shitty (foul language but necessary sometimes *wink*). Now the ED-209 is CGI in this remake, no doubt about it. But I liked how it looked like in the original, I mean ED-209 has sirens? What the heck is this? Don't you guys remember in the original that the movements of ED-209 were not CGI, and all of them were stop-motion sequences? As I saw in a clip, this new RoboCop is more ninja style the way he fights, and this movie seems kind of dodgy the way they filmed the action sequences. As usual with remakes of classics, they take the easy way out, and it is none other than that crappy CGI. Now, the first time I saw the original movie I was like 7 years old, without even realizing it was R-rated. Then I saw RoboCop 2 and I skipped one of the scenes, since I was 7 at the time. Then I saw RoboCop 3 and it was a PG-13 movie, and that one totally sucked donkey ass, big time. A friend of mine told me about this saying "This movie is dodgy. They're trying to make it an ok thing to dumb down the rating system again so pg-13 will be the new "R" rating. There is no way in hell that the producers and license holders really thought this was a cool idea, even if it was a money thing. Why create a bad reputation for your licensing of a brand? Was remastering really the worst alternative?... Its going to kill any fans of the original film and create a stigma for the ppl who didn't grow up when it was in theater. The new movie is going to hurt RoboCop." Come to think of it, I agree with that. Well, let's see when it comes out. God Bless and Play Hard Games! What's happening gamers? We have heard voices in video games that turned out to be a lot of big names. In Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City and San Andreas a lot of voice actors were some of the big names in Hollywood, but this is about Elder Scrolls. Remember that Elder Scrolls IV had big names such as Patrick Stewart, Sean Bean, Lynda Carter, Terence Stamp and Elisabeth Noone? Well, here's the thing folks. Elder Scrolls Online has a sick cast of many big names in Hollywood. Bethesda is ready to kick some ass once again with Elder Scrolls Online the same way that they did with Skyrim, but this game is packed with voices of many big names in Hollywood such as: John Cleese, Kate Beckinsale, Bill Nighy, Alfred Molina, Peter Stormare, Jim Ward, Jennifer Hale, Kevin Michael Richardson and Malcolm McDowell. Bethesda from it's blog stated the following. John Cleese plays Cadwell, the cheerful and endearingly mad lost soul who is not afraid of anyone, even a Daedric Prince. Joining the cast as High King Emeric, Bill Nighy portrays a merchant prince whose luck and determination won him the throne. Kate Beckinsale takes on the role of Queen Ayrenn, the leader of the Aldmeri Dominion and Queen of the High Elves who is far more comfortable with a blade than her crown. Wow! I'd never thought I'd see this many big names in Hollywood to lend their voices in Elder Scrolls Online. In Skyrim we had Joan Allen (Death Race), Max von Sydow and Christopher Plummer. Elder Scrolls Online is stated for release on April 4, 2014 for PC, and this June for Xbox One and PS4.
God Bless and Play Hard Gamers! What's happening gamers? It seems that the PS3 is at last getting the HBO Go app program. Looks like Sony fans won't have to wait much longer to stream HBO on their home consoles. Sony has announced that the HBO Go app is coming to PS3 "soon" and a PS4 version will follow as well. The HBO Go app will be free to download on PS3 and PS4, but you'll need an HBO subscription from your cable or satellite provider to access on-demand content like episodes of Game of Thrones or Boardwalk Empire. An HBO Go app is currently available on Xbox 360 and a version of the app for the Xbox One is scheduled to launch through the platform sometime this year. Hopefully for this one I can see other awesome shows of HBO such as The Newsroom, The Sopranos, True Blood, and more HBO shows. However, I believe that Microsoft and Sony should at LEAST consider adding Cinemax's very own Max Go as well. On PS3 we already got Netflix, YouTube, Hulu Plus, Crackle, Crunchyroll, Epix, MLB TV, NBA Game Time, and many more apps to enjoy. Well, let's see what other apps Sony and Microsoft will add in the future. God Bless and Play Hard Gamers! Greetings comic fans and gamers? Welcome to my third comic book review of GCGameReviews. Today's review is Justice League: Origin, now, this comic book series made it's debut on October 2011 a month after DC Comics relaunched every series after the Flashpoint storyline, naming them The New 52, and also rebooting the origins of many DC Superheroes such as the Justice League, Justice Society of America, the super villains and so on. Now a lot of people think that New 52 is ruining DC Comics and that writers and artists like Geoff Johns are making DC Comics suck because they want to reboot characters and promote more diversity. I mean, come on, it's their call with what they want to do with the characters in this reboot. Now, when I read the whole thing I was like "Wow!" because it actually had great action, storyline, dialogue and many epic things to see and how these famous superheroes came to be. I review this comic not only because I'm a fan of the Justice League, but I am also looking forward to Justice League: War coming this February, which is based on Justice League: Origin. So let's get started with this review, and I'll try to keep it as spoiler free as possible, because there are a lot of things that happens in this story. Plot. We open up in Gotham City, where Batman is pursuing a hooded figure, even though he is also being pursued by helicopters. It has been five years since the start of his career and the people look upon him with suspicion and often hatred. When Batman catches up to the hooded figure, which is actually a rogue Parademon, he meets the Green Lantern for the first time. Lantern discovers that Batman has no superpowers and they don't get along so good, then The monster blows itself up with a Father Box, and they decide to investigate the extra-terrestrial lead through Superman. Superman attacks Batman and Green Lantern, believing them to be threats. Lantern calls in The Flash to help them, and they continue to fight until Batman makes them realize they're on the same side. Then we get to see Victor Stone in a football game, where a lot of recruiting colleges want him on their team, but tragedy strikes when he is caught in an explosion at S.T.A.R Labs because of the Father Box's explosion that opens up a Boom Tube. The Boom Tube opens up releasing a massive army of Parademons, and fighting them is also Wonder Woman and Aquaman. The heroes, including Victor Stone, revived as a Cyborg, join together to repel the invasion and defeat Darkseid. Panelings. This comic was the start of the career of comic book writer and artist Geoff Johns. I thought that all the drawings were very awesome and the action as well. Now, in this story you see Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman wearing different costumes. Superman's suit looks almost like that of a Power Ranger without the red tights, haha. But still he has the "S" shield which looks awesome. As for Wonder Woman, in the cover of the graphic novel you see her wearing pants, but luckily she doesn't wear them when reading the book. Of course, I don't like seeing Wonder Woman in pants, I love her the way she looks like in her costume. Cyborg looks pretty awesome and so do Flash, Green Lantern and Aquaman. Of course, they can't have the same costumes all the time. Dialogue. The dialogues were pretty well made. Batman is still Batman, so is Green Lantern, and as for Superman he seems to be more of a douchebag than the all-nice guy he is in the classic comics. There were so many awesome lines as well as funny ones with Flash and Green Lantern. Of course, Green Lantern and Flash can be pretty funny at times. Concept. Now, the concept for this comic was totally awesome and I actually liked how in this new DC Universe (The New 52) the Justice League came to be. Now, the way people looked up to Wonder Woman in this story was kind of like in X-Men, in the same manner as the other heroes. People had no love for Wonder Woman in the story because she was a polytheist and super human, and her gods were from Greek Mythology. As for the other superheroes, at the start of their careers, they were look upon with suspicion and hate, and I was like "Don't tell me that Geoff Johns and Jim Lee are trying to copy X-Men when they first revealed themselves to the public as mutants". Impressions. I was actually impressed at the way the Justice League came to be in this story, but one thing that bothers me about the movie is that they replace Aquaman with Shazam! What were they thinking? Is it me, or does people think Aquaman sucks. I have been watching Aquaman since Super Friends in my childhood and I think he is very awesome, and he also proved it on the hit TV series, Smallville. The action sequences were very well made and the new designs of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and even Cyborg. Overall. Justice League: Origin is a very good graphic novel and one of the best of The New 52 that I have read so far, alongside other novels I've read such as Earth 2 Volumes 1 and 2, Red Hood and the Outlaws, Green Lantern: Sinestro, Rise of the Third Army, and many more. I suggest you guys read this one before seeing the upcoming movie on February. My final score for Justice League: Origin is an A-. What's happening gamers and Pokemon fans? Today I just want to share my thoughts on Pokemon Origins. Well, I just saw the four episodes in one full movie just recently, and I gotta tell you that for a moment I was gonna say: Oh, this is boring. But after seeing the whole thing, I was so blown away that I have never seen a great Pokemon anime in a long time. I gotta say that this short remained so faithful to the old games, which got me this urge to play them once again, even go back in time and ask my parents for a Game Boy Color, but at that time, they actually wanted me to be either a bookworm and a jock. But hey, I chose to be a gamer, I was born to play video games and draw, and yes, I was a bookworm and a nerd back in elementary, junior high, and high school, not to mention I was popular as both party boy and class clown in some ways. But enough of that ok? So, with every episode of Pokemon Origins, I was wanting more and more, and I truly liked the conclusions which is saying like "Would you like to save?" And the most coolest thing is that unlike the anime, the Pokemon don't talk and say names like "VEEEEENUSAUR!" or "CHAAAARMELEON". Both encounters that Red and Gary had were just like in the games, as well as his journey to get all badges and fight the Elite Four like in the games. One thing I also truly enjoyed was Charizard's Mega Evolution, which was introduced in Pokemon X and Y. I sincerely hope one day they makes something this epic in Pokemon, that could be more like Pokemon Silver and Gold. Now, I was a lover of the Pokemon series, I used to watch it everyday after school when I was 13, and living in the Dominican Republic. At that time, Pokemon was a huge hit in 1999 around the world. that even kids played Pokemon cards, the video games, and so on. I was a big Pokemon fan long before Yu-Gi-Oh! ever existed. But then while living there, something got me annoyed and angry, when a preacher in Church condemned Pokemon as evil and satanic. Come on, that is just totally stupid to say that, because Pokemon are fictional creatures, but what also angers me a lot is when PETA condemns it as well, thinking it promotes animal abuse. When that preacher said that, in my opinion as a Christian I was embarrassed by this. Pokemon are not evil and satanic, they are fictional creatures for crying out loud. Ok, so the last time I saw Pokemon was when it was getting boring and boring, and then when Master Quest appeared, I just got tired of it, yet I still played the games that came out. Well gamers and Poke fans, that is all I had to share for today. God Bless and Play Hard Gamers. What's happening gamers and Happy 2014! Today's news is about 2013 in review in terms of gaming. As you all know, 2013 was awesome in terms of many video games, we had a lot of awesome fight games, we've been informed that Final Fantasy Versus XIII was re-titled as Final Fantasy XV at E3 2013, Kingdom Hearts III is still in development, and the cool thing about my channel on YouTube was making my first comic review starting with Earth 2 Vol 2. The Tower of Fate. Now here is the list of the top 10 video games of 2013 10. Killzone: Shadow Fall. Killzone returned once again on the PS4's major debut. Shadow Fall takes place many years after Killzone 3, and the story as usual can blow you away. My thoughts about the Killzone franchise is that it's nothing more than a Halo killer imo. Personally, I'd take Killzone over Halo anyday. 9. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. I've heard that this game is gonna be the last in the franchise, it did actually a lot of justice after Assassin's Creed III had many flaws. But what angered me last year is that the PETA decides to attack it because in their words it promotes whaling. Idiots, those are digitized animals! 8. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. This is the very first time that Raiden took the lead role. Awesome hack and slashing skills in this game, Metal Gear continues to be as timeless and original as usual. 7 - Fire Emblem: Awakening. Fire Emblem continues to be as awesome as every game that comes out. Fire Emblem just remains as well timeless and original. I also really liked that old characters from previous games returned as DLC, but some of their outfits were not as awesome as in the old games. 6 - Injustice: Gods Among Us. Our favorite DC superheroes and villains have arrived for the epic battle of a lifetime. Injustice: Gods Among Us was one of the best games in the spring of 2013. However, I was kind of pissed when they did not at the Red Hood in this game. He could have been the best. 5 - Grand Theft Auto V. Grand Theft Auto is back with a vengeance folks, back to San Andreas. Now we all know that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was awesome in the old days, but this one kicks major ass than it did before. However, it's controversy continues to spark ire in anti-video game activists, but screw them! 4 - Batman: Arkham Origins. The Dark Knight has returned once again, and this time he has more awesome gadgets, and DLC batsuits such as Adam West, Earth 2, Knightfall and so on. However, no more button mashing which makes it interesting. 3 - The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. In my opinion, both ALBW and WW HD are a tie in for the third place. Zelda remains as epic as always, and this game made me feel nostalgic about A Link to the Past, since of course this awesome game takes place in the same world as ALTTP. 2 - Beyond: Two Souls. Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe star in this incredibly original and awesome game made by Quantic Dream, the very same people that brought you the hit video game, Heavy Rain. The story will blow you away as well as many gut wrenching moments. 1 - The Last of Us. The Last of us is in my opinion the BEST GAME EVER OF 2013. The Last of Us was made by the same developers that brought us Uncharted, and this game actually fed my survival horror needs after Resident Evil 6's failure. Well folks, that is all, but I have some honorable mentions that totally kicked ass this year. In my opinion, the other ass-kicking games are: Battlefield 4, Killzone: Mercenary, Super Mario 3D World, Pokemon X/Y, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, BioShock Infinite and Tomb Raider. However, some games were totally bad such as The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Angry Birds: Star Wars, and Star Trek: The Video Game. So that is my top 10 games of 2013.
