As you all know I am totally against a lot of video games being adapted into live action movies, because since Super Mario Bros (1993), Hollywood has had a knack of adapting video games and the majority of them sucked such as: Double Dragon, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, Silent Hill: Revelation, Wing Commander, Doom, Farcry, Bloodrayne, House of the Dead, Postal, Dungeon Siege, Hitman and many more.
First we get a live action prequel to Halo 4 known as Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, which turned out to be better than the crappy anime Halo: Legends, and now it seems that Neill Blomkamp is not giving up on making a live action Halo movie. Well, if this rumor turns out to be true, this ain't the first time that Blomkamp attempted to bring the UNSC and Master Chief to life in the big screen.
When the movie was first announced back in 2005, Alex Garland wrote the script, Peter Jackson was set to be executive producer while Spielberg and Blomkamp were in talks to film it, but then in 2007 the film was killed. But now, this turns out to be something that is not to be surprised about. If they do this film, then they better do it right, because the majority of live action video game adaptations totally suck. Like I said before, since Super Mario Bros, Hollywood has been butchering a lot of games by making live adaptations of them.
So what do you guys think? Do you want to see this come to life? Are you pleased? Let me know. Comment, go for it.
God Bless and Play Hard Gamers!
