What's happening gamers?  September ends good with more news from the upcoming Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Nintendo Wii featuring our hero Link and more new adventures that are a-comin'. Aren't you just excited. As you know, Skyward Sword is a prequel to the highly acclaimed "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time." This game shows the creation of the Master Sword, which everyone knows is real bad ass. The following introduction is this:

  • Introduction: Our story begins in Skyloft, a city island in the sky, on the day before young Link is to compete in a bird flying competition. The winner of the contest will earn the honor of taking part in a special ceremony with Zelda.
  • Link and Zelda: In this game, our favorite heroes were childhood friends. And there will be some romance between them most likely. Ironically in Zelda II: Adventure of Link, Link and Zelda had a romantic moment in the game's climactic moments. In this game, their relationship will have more depth
  • Groose: Link’s nemesis at school, Groose, plays a significant role in the early moments of the new game. This bully of a character not only threatens Link’s chances to win the bird-flying competition, but he also reveals a jealous streak toward Link and Zelda’s special bond. • Fi: Early on in Link’s new adventure, he encounters Fi, the spirit of the powerful Goddess Sword. Fi’s guidance proves to be crucial as Link goes forth on a challenging quest that will ultimately result in the creation of the Master Sword.
  • Zelda's father: Gaepora, Zelda’s father, is the headmaster of Link’s school. As such, he has knowledge of the history and legends of Skyloft.
According to Nintendo, more details about the game’s storyline and features will be revealed prior to its Nov. 20 launch. For now, check out the latest media on the game right on Gametrailers.

Also in other news, Chrono Trigger is coming on October 4th to the PlayStation Network. Amazing isn't it? Also you can view my review of the game on my August 2010 reviews right here.

NEWS: Final Fantasy Reputation "Greatly Damaged"

Hello gamers. I read on IGN today that the reputation of the once top-RPG game series Final Fantasy, was "greatly damaged". And it is true, because with the failure of the MMO Final Fantasy XIV the series started to decline as a once great series. I never played Final Fantasy XI, neither did I play FF XIV. But I think the series started to decline after the release of Final Fantasy XII, since people did not like the battle system and gameplay.

I liked Final Fantasy XII, but I think that it started to even lose more respect when Final Fantasy XIII came out. However, Square-Enix's CEO Yoichi Wada promised that "We'll continue with our reform work, which basically amounts to fully redoing the game, and hope to revive the FFXIV that should have been released." Let's just hope that Final Fantasy Versus XIII, or XIII-2 may do some justice to it's once famous reputation. It won't be long before other RPG's such as Fire Emblem, White Knight Chronicles, Mass Effect, and more take over the throne for best RPG.

What's happening gamers? Final Fantasy XIII-2 now has a release date stated for Japan, North America and Europe. It also has a DLC in which is not known when will it come out. Final Fantasy XIII-2 is the sequel to Final Fantasy XIII which was released on March 2010 and shipped 6.2 million units worldwide. The sequel to Final Fantasy XIII will have a new battle system which will allow players to control monsters and a variety of options that support multiple playthroughs.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 was announced at Tokyo Game Show by Square-Enix for the PS3 and XBOX 360. The game will be available in North America on January 31st, 2012, with a following in Europe on February 3, 2012. The game will be released in Japan this Christmas season on December 15th. Now I was not too fond of Final Fantasy XIII, but this game makes up for it.

Dead Space 2 (PS3/XBOX 360/PC)

What's happening gamers? Tonight's review is Dead Space 2 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows. This game is a sequel to Dead Space and the best in my opinion. Dead Space 2 was developed by Visceral Games and published by Electronic Arts with a release on January 25, 2011. Dead Space 2 takes place three years after the events in Dead Space, and shortly after the animated film "Dead Space: Aftermath". This continues the story of Isaac Clarke, survivor of the USG Ishimura and Aegis VII Colony incident.

Dead Space 2 has a multiplayer mode, and the Collector's Edition is available for all three platforms. The PlayStation 3's limited edition contains the prequel to the first game "Dead Space: Extraction" as a PlayStation Move compatible title. This is one of my most favorite game series, and most favorite survival horror games since Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Time to review this great game.

Plot. At a hospital in the Sprawl, Isaac Clarke has been lying in cryo stasis for three years until he is freed by Franco, protagonist of Dead Space: Ignition. Before Isaac was freed from his straitjacket, Franco is killed and transformed into a necromorph, leaving Isaac to escape on his own. He is contacted by Daina, who guides him to her location. He is also contacted by another mad patient, Nolan Stross, who offers him a way to destroy the Marker, in which the station's administrator, Hans Tiedmann, forced them to rebuild after finding Isaac adrift. Ignoring Stross, Isaac meets Daina, who is revealed to be a fanatical Unitologist. Daina is gunned down along with her men, and now Isaac must trust Stross and another ally, Ellie, in order to destroy the Marker and prevent further infection.

NEWS: Final Fantasy X gets an upgrade on the PS3 and PSVita

What's happening gamers? Well, I'm very excited to give the news that Final Fantasy X is being remade, and it's making it's HD debut. The game will be remade for the PlayStation 3 and soon to come PSVita.

Now I know most of you Final Fantasy fans are excited to see FFX on the PS3 and on HD. Though some of you are disappointed that Final Fantasy VII does not have a remake in the works. The game was announced on the Tokyo Game Show 2011, and it is set to be released on the game's 10th Anniversary. So if you're actually disappointed that FF7 gets no remake, then don't be impatient. Because FF7 is not the only best Final Fantasy game in the series, there are plenty of great games such as FFIV, V, VI, VIII, IX, I, III, and so on.

Final Fantasy X tends to be one of my most favorite FF games of all time, because of it's profound storyline, epic music, gameplay and more. So, let's wait for this great game to be released sometime either late 2011 or early 2012. Play hard gamers.

NEWS: Hints on Zelda for Wii U and the next Zelda for the 3DS!

Hello gamers! As you know, the Wii U is on it's way to be released sometime in 2012, and also Zelda goes HD. Awesome right? Well, now that Ocarina of Time for the 3DS is out for some time now, Game Informer and others continue talks about future Zelda games. Well, the future of Zelda will be determined once Skyward Sword is released on the Wii. Eiji Aonuma, the man behind Twilight Princess said:

"The demo that we showed at E3 was really just more of a rough idea of if all we were to do was to take a Zelda game and put it in HD, this is what it might look like. We’re much more interested in looking at the power of the Wii U system  and seeing how we can take advantage of that power to do things that we haven’t been able to do in a Zelda game before.... One of our goals with [Skyward Sword] is to be the first step in illustrating for people how the Zelda series can change and evolve."

Moreover, Aonuma hinted that he might be making something "very interesting" in the 3DS, once he was asked about making a follow up to Ocarina of Time 3D as an original Zelda game for the 3DS. We will not hear much from Zelda after Skyward Sword is released, so we'll have to wait until then. I'll keep in touch with the October issue on Game Informer. On tomorrow's video game news, I will talk about the latest Final Fantasy news on the PS3 and PSVita. It's Final Fantasy X remade and on it's way to HD.
