Then the game was released in Japan on the PlayStation Network in January 2007, then in America's PSN, it was released on October 2009. This game tells the origins of Mega Man X, how Sigma became a Maverick, and for the first time, Vile has a story of his own schemes to destroy X, Zero, and even Sigma himself to change the world.
Plot. Before the Maverick Wars began, Mega Man X was sealed in a capsule by Dr. Light, and then thirty years in the future, Dr. Cain finds him and decides to replicate this robotic model to create his first reploid. When X joins the Maverick Hunters he befriends another hunter named Zero and he becomes part of Sigma's command. Things take a turn for the worse when Sigma revolts and becomes a Maverick, and so X and Zero must put a stop to his schemes. On the other hand in this battle, a rebellious reploid named Vile has plans of his own, destroy X, Zero and even Sigma himself to change the world.
Music. The music continues to be the same but it has been re-arranged in rock or techno style.
History. Mega Man X began in the early 90's with the first game in which Zero was originally going to be the main character of the game. Mega Man X2 continued one year after the first game, then Mega Man X3 came out in the mid-90's for both the SNES and Playstation. MMX3 was the first Mega Man X game to have anime sequences which are only seen in the PS1. Mega Man X4 was released in 1997 and became a great success, except for the voice acting in English. Mega Man X5 and X6 were released in 2000/2001. MMX5 was thought to be the last game, but they continued. Then in the mid-2000's Mega Man X7 and X8 were released and introduced a new ally named Axl. Mega Man X had it's first RPG known as Command Mission which was quite successful.
Concept. The game was re-arranged not only in music but also in 3D animations. Sound effects were done greatly. I really like what Capcom did with this game. Especially adding an anime short movie which could be seen after players beat the game. This movie is known as The Day of Sigma which tells the story of how X and Zero learned about Sigma's own schemes and machinations.
Bad Aspect. I still hate those helicopters that hit you and then laugh at you. I mean they're like one of the most annoying enemies in the game, and those robots that looked like construction workers, throwing those damn tools at you. Ugh! They just pissed me off so bad. I still hate it when Flame Mammoth jumps and then he makes you fall while on ground.
Good Aspect. I really like how the voice really fits the game rather than the funny and bad acting in X4. I like how the rest of the mavericks sound. This was really awesome! I still love the Storm Eagle stage and they did a very good job with the music themes as well. The Day of Sigma was a good addition to the game. In my opinion, they should make an anime of Mega Man X, although he appeared in the original cartoon I used to see as a kid.
Overall. Mega Man X still lives in the hearts of fans. I give this game a 9.3/10
