Now I remember Capcom as far back since childhood when I had my NES and SNES, my first Capcom game was Mickey Mousecapade when I was about 5 years old, and played Street Fighter II when I was 6 years old, over the years I have played many of it's other games such as the Ghosts N Goblins series, Resident Evil series, Mega Man series, Mega Man X series, Battle Network, Star Force, Onimusha series, etc. But since the mid 2000s to recently, Capcom has begun to fall very low with some games that resulted with mixed reviews to positive, others from mixed to negative, and recent games receiving negative reviews, now here is the talk of the rise and fall of Capcom.
Six years later in January, the old affiliate company Capcom Co., Ltd. merged with Sambi Co,. Ltd., thus resulting in the current Japanese branch. The name Capcom is an abbreviation of "Capsule Computers", a term coined by the company to describe the arcade machines it solely manufactured in its early years, designed to set themselves apart from personal computers that were becoming widespread at that time. That word alludes to how the company likened its game software to "a capsule packed to the brim with gaming fun", as well as to the company's desire to protect its intellectual property with a hard outer shell, preventing illegal copies and inferior imitations.
Part 2 is still to come.
