The story begins shortly after Batman has taken down the Mutant Leader, and the majority of the Mutants are in jail, few are scattered, and many have turned from committing crime, to fighting it as a gang of vigilantes known as The Sons of Batman. Ellen Yindel becomes police commissioner and issues a warrant for the arrest of Batman. Meanwhile, the Joker upon discovering that Batman has returned, comes out of a long catatonic state, and convinces Dr. Wolper that he is sane. Batman, upon discovering that Joker will appear on television to say he is sane, knows that this is only a bluff to return to his crime spree, which turns out to be true. Batman not only has to fight his old nemesis, but also clash in an epic fight against Superman, now a pawn of the United States government.
The movie was very well made in terms of animations, music, sound effects, writing, and casting. Peter Weller returns as Batman, and he was very good once more. I actually thought that he wasn't gonna be good, but he made Batman very epic in this movie, because of course, Kevin Conroy can't be the Bat forever. Michael Emerson who plays as Ben in Lost, voices the Joker. In the last movie, Emerson only had one line as the Joker. Mark Valley voices Superman, in my opinion, he did alright. But I think that Kyle MacLachlan would have been better as Superman, since he voices him in Justice League: The New Frontier. Other returning voices include, David Selby, Michael McKean, Ariel Winter, Maria Canals Barrera, and many more.
I still think in my opinion that it would have been even more epic if both movies were mixed together in one full movie, that would have been hours of excitement and epic moments. The fight scenes were incredibly awesome, especially the epic fight between Batman and Superman. This movie my friends, is a must have. You can either wait until it comes on Netflix, or you can buy it on Blu-Ray, DVD, PSN, or Xbox Live. However you like it.
My grade for this movie is an A-.
