Plot. The story begins with Tidus, a young man who comes from Zanarkand. However, one night during a game of blitzball, his town is attack by a raging demon known as Sin. His mentor, Auron takes him to the mystical world of Spira. There he meets Yuna, Wakka, Kimahri, Rikku and Lulu. He learns that summoners go on a pilgrimage to defeat Sin and that his hometown, the place where he claims to be from, has been destroyed 1000 years ago. When he gets further, he learns painful truths and much more than all that.
Music. After many years of musical magic, Nobuo Uematsu composes in the game for one last time. But that does not stop him from composing some of his great musical skills in Advent Children and Final Fantasy XII. No one would want Mr. Uematsu to leave the music of Final Fantasy to someone else. There are also touching songs like Suteki Da Ne sung by Rikki. This song is played in which is one of the most touching and defining moments of Final Fantasy.
Characters. The characters continue to inspire many fans in this game. The most favorite character in the game is Auron, Tidus' mentor, and also a friend of his father Jecht. Auron helped Jecht and Yuna's father, Braska defeat Sin 10 years prior to the game's story. However, the favoritism of this character is memorable and never ending. The character of Cid, makes yet ANOTHER return in the series. In this game, Cid is the leader of the exiled race of the Al Bhed, and provides the party with the airship. Though players can't fly the ship, they can choose the locations they want to go, to complete a sidequest.
Rantings. Well, the Sphere Grid was kind of off in my opinion. In this game Leveling up is using up ability points to learn new abilities and level up strength, magic power, HP, and MP for every single character in the game. Also my most hated enemies are the King Marlboros, I really can't stand these guys, because every time you face them, they get a headstart, making things a lot harder. It's Bad Breath attack causes so many status ailments, that can give an instant game over. I also did not like Bahamut's look in the game, because he has to use that propeller on it's back to charge up power, unlike the others in previous games, in which they were massive dragons.
Good Aspects. Final Fantasy X is unique in terms of storyline, characters, music and gameplay. Also, Auron is one of those characters that say things that are very true, his badass attitude is legendary. The Blitzball game is also very entertaining, but nerve-wrecking when the character moves automatically. Most people would disagree on that though, but I find the mini-game to be fun and exciting. Blitzball is like a combination of sports such as: karate, soccer, American Football, and waterpolo.
Overall. The game lives on and has gone down in Final Fantasy history, as one of the most praised Final Fantasy games ever. The magic of Final Fantasy lives on in the past and will keep on shining in future games. 9 out of 10
