Plot. The world is shrouded in darkness: the wind dies, the seas turn violent, fire incinerates everything, and the earth starts to rot. The only hope of the people is a prophecy: When darkness veils the world, four warriors of light will come to their aid. At the end of their journey, each of them holds a crystal in hand. When they appear, their first quest is to rescue Princess Sarah of Cornelia, who was captured by a former knight, Garland. After defeating Garland, the warriors begin a quest to save the world, and enlighten the world's darkened crystals.
History: Final Fantasy has a long history that started in the 1980's in Japan and released in 1990 in America. This game has spanned its fame over the years with many incredible and astounding changes and looks. The series had also spawned movies and tv shows. Also, Final Fantasy would have it's tactical RPG spinoff series, known as Final Fantasy Tactics, set in the magical medieval world of Ivalice.
Rantings. Although I loved this game and all, I absolutely hated the Warmech fight. The odds of killing this monster are a million to one. I hated this bastard to death. I tried killing him once and he killed all my party in 5 seconds with me being in level 37. It's like his power level was over 9000. Beating him requires the final level which is lvl 50. Leveling up to fight against Astos and those Wizards before waking up the Elf Prince, that indeed was one of the most boring moments of the game. Sheesh!
Good Aspect. I loved the designs of the game and the world was beautifully done. This is more like a Tolkien-esque style of world. The plot was pretty cool and all. Taking a break from adventuring when you got the ship opened a mini-game in which you won it you gained some easy money.
Characters: The main characters don't have a name in this game but players love to put names to the characters in almost every Final Fantasy game. But the main characters depend of the class that the player chooses and its also a party of four. Most will choose the Warrior, Thief, White Mage and Black Mage.
Overall: This is such an excellent classic that deserves the respect of many fans and gamers. Most will enjoy playing the actual remake of this game that comes along with its successor Final Fantasy II. Final Fantasy gets a 9 out of 10
