Plot. The story takes place sometime in 2011. The world is getting to the edge of chaos and disorder. In the Middle East, Khaled Al-Asad performs a coup d'etat against the president of an unknown Middle Eastern country, Yasir Al-Fulani. The conspirators are Imran Zakhaev and his son Victor. All three declare war against England and the United States of America. Khaled murders the president for making peaceful negotiations with the West, while Imran wants to turn Russia once again into the Soviet Union. But Zakhaev has plans for the Americans to lure them to the Middle East, knowing that the USA would never allow Russia to become a Communist country once again. The SAS and the USMC discover horrifying truths about the conspiracy of the three main antagonists of the game.
Concept. At the beginning of the game, you start with the basics of shooting, melee and movements as a soldier. You first start playing with SAS soldier Soap MacTavish, in the prologue and also in act one. In some parts of Act One, you play as US Marine Corps Sergeant Paul Jackson. There will be also a mission in which you can play as Captain Price, and discovering the truth behind the incidents and wars started by the main antagonists such as Khaled Al-Asad, Victor Zakhaev and his father Imran Zakhaev. Also you can take a break from campaign mode and play with your friends and other people from around the world in Online Multiplayer mode.
Tips and Strategies. When you play in Veteran mode, you are most likely to easily get killed, so you'd better watch out how you're shooting and where you're going. Sometimes using flashbangs in closed areas is very useful as you can temporarily blind your enemy, giving you time to kill them. Also, the best way to kill multiple enemies is by aiming down your sights, and in closer ranges use CQC, meaning to use your knife. In Online Mode you can customize your class and weapons everytime you level up your game. In Online Mode you can gain experience points to level up by shooting your opponents and winning matches as well. There are 55 ranks in total.
Rantings. My rantings for the game are the dogs, I really can't stand them. Sometimes you either have to shoot them, or snap their necks when they are about to bite your neck. When you are put down by them, a bite is an instant kill. Also, I hated the mission in which a younger Price, then a Lieutenant, had to escape from a ghost town with Captain MacMillian, in Veteran Mode it's a major HELL zone, you have to put Claymores and snipe the soldiers as they hide on the grass, and the dogs coming out of nowhere and you don't realize that they're either on your left, right or right behind your ass. Veteran Mode, one or two shots from the enemy can kill you quicker than a speeding bullet.
Good Aspect. The good aspect of this game is how the storyline tells many real world facts such as history being full of liars, also said in the game's sequel. Also I really liked the death quotes from many historical leaders, presidents, philosophers, and war heroes such as: Sun Tzu, George S. Patton, John F. Kennedy, William Shakespeare, Mahatma Gandhi, and so on. The gameplay is also amazing as well.
Overall. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is known to be the most popular FPS game of 2007, and remains a cult classic among it's fans. I give this game a 9.5/10
