Plot. The story takes place in 2012, where a bartender named Desmond Miles is captured by a company known as Abstergo Industries. There he is forced to be a test subject for the Animus, a device that can read memories of the past life of any host. He then is transported to the Middle Ages at the time of the crusades, and explore the memories of his ancestor Altair Ibn La'Ahad, a member of a clan of Assassins during the Third Crusade. During nights outside of the Animus, Desmond starts to have visions of many different passwords. He carries out the missions as an Assassin in order to avoid enemies of the clan to obtain a magical treasure known as the Piece of Eden.
Gameplay. This game has so many features that mimics those of Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell, The Legend of Zelda and so on. You take on the role of Desmond Miles in the future, where he tries to learn more of his past through the Animus and learns many things from Warren Vidic and gets help from the computer whiz Lucy Stillman. In the Animus, you take the role of Altair, in which you have to gain information on your assassination targets and then kill them. However, there are some secrets revealed as you progress through the game.
Tips and Strategies. Most of the time there will be moments that you'll get pissed off and want to break your PS3 or XBOX 360 controller. Sometimes fighting ten enemies can be very gut-wrenching and bothersome, also when you try to intimidate the people you interrogate thugs come out of nowhere and fight you as well. To defeat your enemies in a sword fight, use the techniques you have learned and stay calm. In rooftops, there will be soldiers as well, and you can either stealth-assassinate them or throw knives at them. Sometimes they can fall down the rooftop when you throw a knife at them, better than yelling at them and kicking them into a pit 300 style).
Rantings. My rantings for this game are many, everytime you have a target, these women come out of nowhere begging you for coins when you don't have them, that really got me pissed off and failed some missions for that. Also another bad aspect is that you try to stealth assassinate someone, and the drunkards push you around, which really pissed me off as well, I had to punch these morons to scare them off. Sometimes fighting these templars where a major bother as they enjoy grabbing and throwing you around as well as punching you during sword fights. What also bothered me, is that Altair, cannot SWIM. What a letdown.
Good Aspect. The game is absolutely epic, it really reminded me of previous Ubisoft games. To me this game could be like: The Legend of Zelda meets Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell. Also, I really loved doing Leap of Faiths from the tops of churches and other buildings. I really enjoyed those.
Overall. Assassin's Creed is a must play for gamers, this game gets a 10 out of 10
