Mega Man X6 was released on November 2001 in Japan and America. The game was developed and published by Capcom. Mega Man X5 as said in my earlier review, was going to be the last game in the series, but Capcom decided to continue, against Keiji Inafune's wishes. This game featured new enemies such as the Nightmare, and a brand new post-apocalypse storyline after the events in Mega Man X5. This game is also very well known for it's higher difficulty, in which gamers skills would be put to the test. This staggering game will piss you off, make you cry, break your PlayStation controllers, and leave you totally out of your mind. This game has been giving me headaches when I started playing it. Plot. Three weeks have passed since the devastating Eurasia incident. X and Zero succeeded in destroying the colony, but although the Earth was saved, the huge explosion severely damaged it beyond repair. While humans hide underground, Reploids have been working tirelessly around the clock to rebuild the world. Gate, a Reploid scientist who was once a colleague of Alia, arrives at the crash site, now known as Area Zero. Gate stumbles upon something unusual in the debris, and decides to study it. After a week, Gate has gone mad and a strange set of Maverick outbreaks occur. A Mechaniloid is then wreaking havoc on Area Zero, and X is called to confront it. When he destroys it, a figure of Zero appears and finishes it off. At the same time High Max, claims to be a Nightmare investigator, but X is no match for him. A new quest begins, to stop the plans of Gate, Isoc, and High Max, and prevent the total annihilation of the human race. Mega Man X5 is the fifth chapter in the X series, and the third title released on the PlayStation. Originally released in Japan on November 3, 2000, the game was then released in America on February 1, 2001. This is the only game that has a time limit on choosing stages. In this game, players can choose either X or Zero, but they can still choose either one of the them inside the game. The only difference is that if the player chooses X, he will be able to use the Force Armor, and with Zero, he will be able to use the Z-Buster in this game. The creator, Keiji Inafune originally intended Mega Man X5 to be the last game, and make way for Mega Man Zero. But then Mega Man X6 was created against his wishes, thus altering his plans. Plot. Several months have passed after the crushing downfall of the Repliforce army, Earth is at a peaceful state. Space colonization has begun, and it seems to open the curtains for a new age of peace and prosperity. The space colony Eurasia, is the oldest one in the Lagrangian Point. One day, a mysterious Reploid mercenary named Dynamo has occupied the colony, scattering the Maverick Virus, and leading it into collision towards the Earth. If Eurasia crashes in 16 hours, it will cause absolute chaos and destruction to the Earth, on the worst case scenario, destroying all life on the planet. The Maverick Hunters have a plan to stop it, using the Enigma cannon, but if it does not work, their backup plan is a shuttle to crash it into it. The only hope for the world, are X and Zero. Zero continues to find answers about his origin. Mega Man X4 is a 32-bit sidescrolling video game that was developed and published by Capcom. Originally released on the Sega Saturn in Japan on July 31, 1997, then in America on August 1st, 1997. Released on the PlayStation in Japan on August 1st, then in America on October 9, 1997. Mega Man X4 brought a the series to a whole new level with enhanced graphics, new storyline, new characters, new gameplay, enhanced music and so on. The game also featured anime sequences in which featured voice acting segments. The game is also playable on Mega Man X Collection. Plot. In the year 21XX, two large Reploid armies exist to counterattack Maverick rebellions and uprisings. The Maverick Hunters and Repliforce have cooperated in several missions, and during that time, Zero befriended the Colonel and his sister Iris. One day, the Sky Lagoon is attacked and crashes in the city below, killing millions of innocent humans and reploids. As Repliforce was present during the incident, they are under suspicion and Colonel was asked to surrender for questioning. Having great pride, Colonel refuses and leaves with Iris. This incident causes great indignation on the General, and begins to perform a coup d'etat to create a nation only for Reploids, and not wishing harm upon the humans. Nevertheless, they are considered to be Mavericks, and a war starts between Repliforce and the Maverick Hunters. But someone else is behind this war, and is bent on overthrowing the two factions. Mega Man X3 was developed by Capcom, and released on December 1, 1995 in Japan, then released in January 4, 1996 in North America. This is the last game in the series to be released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The game was also released on the PlayStation, PC, and Sega Saturn. Like it's predecessor, Mega Man X2, Capcom included the Cx4 chip to allow for some limited 3D graphics and transparency effects. This was also the first game in which Zero was playable. Plot. In the year 21XX, a reploid scientist named Dr. Doppler, built a machine known as the Neuro Computer, which prevented reploids from going Maverick and berserk. Dr. Doppler then founded Dopple Town, a perfect Utopian community, and the world seemed to enter a new era of peace. A few months later, Mavericks began to attack, and it was found out that Doppler was the mastermind, and his anti-virus was a placebo. Maverick Hunter dispatched X and Zero, to stop the Mavericks and bring Dr. Doppler to justice. Then a few hours later, headquarters was under attack by the Doppler army. X and Zero succeeded in defeating the assailants, but now, they must once again battle against Doppler and his Mavericks. Mega Man X2 was developed and published by Capcom. Meanwhile, three Mavericks named Agile, Serges, and Violen, also known as the X-Hunters, have established a Maverick base in the North Pole.
